Summary:

This position is responsible for achieving the sales quota, which is discussed and agreed upon between the incumbent and management.

It also requires spending more than half the working time away from the office traveling through the assigned territory to call on existing and prospective customers to promote products/services and solicit business by retaining and developing company-critical client relationships and identifying potential business opportunities.

The role includes developing plans for continuous improvement and measuring improvement regarding travel management goals and objectives, customer service, and client relationships.

 

Essential Job Functions:

●Client Development

Regularly works more than half the working time away from the office, making personal sales calls at customer sites.

Conducts marketing research for potential clients and develops new corporate business.

Produces and distributes sales materials, including flyers and emails to clients.

Conducts Group and Leisure sales activities and tour escorts.

Maintains and develops customer base by suggesting products and services that meet and exceed client expectations.

Participates in sales and marketing activities.

Understands function from a more extensive organizational perspective and its impact on daily activities.

●Client Management

Meets with key customers to build and maintain strong relationships.

Provides phone and e-mail communications with clients to maintain business.

Communicates clients’ objectives and requirements to travel consultants, IT teams, and accounting.

Handles customer requests.

Resolves escalated customer service issues.

Assists in reservations for hotels, limousines, etc., as needed.

Handles customer’s visas, passports, etc., as needed.

Fully understands and acts upon our customer needs at all times.

Maintains strong ties with clients and related parties.

Handles complicated vendor or client situations.

●Meeting, Incentive and Event Management

Develops, manages, and delivers client reporting requirements.

Analyzes and reviews clients’ cost performance with clients and identifies potential savings.

Provides cutting-edge technology such as a registration system.

Negotiates with suppliers or vendors for better rates by collaborating with C&RM.

 

 

Qualifications:

0-1 year of experience in the travel industry, or equivalent skills, in the area of one’s expertise.

Basic knowledge and skills to perform day-to-day responsibilities but requires close supervision.

General office equipment and software include Windows, MS Office, and SABRE.
