Overview
This role supports a financial institution’s business planning function by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting key business data. You will prepare clear, insight-driven reports and performance summaries for management and cross-functional teams, while contributing to strategic planning and operational improvements. Strong bilingual communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments are essential for success.
Responsibilities
Gather business status, performance metrics, and projection data from internal systems and various information sources.
Compile, validate, and organize data; design reporting formats; and deliver recurring and ad-hoc management reports.
Identify reporting gaps and recommend improved data sources or extraction methods.
Analyze business trends, summarize findings, and support strategic decision-making.
Provide updates and planning insights to unit leadership.
Maintain strong partnerships with internal departments to facilitate timely information sharing.
Participate in credit control, business infrastructure, and administrative initiatives related to planning.
Support expense control efforts using system databases and departmental tools.
Contribute to cross-functional projects, task forces, and other initiatives as assigned.
Perform additional duties as requested by management.
Qualifications
Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, formulas, data manipulation).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Japanese and English.
Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a financial institution.
Strong multitasking skills with the ability to remain organized despite frequent interruptions.
Ability to quickly learn new systems, databases, and applications.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to work independently and collaboratively.

Base salary: $80,000–$90,000, plus discretionary bonus and a competitive benefits package.
