Overview:
A Japanese mega bank in NY seeks a detail-oriented KYC Analyst (Japanese bilingual).
This role supports the Japanese corporate banking business in the Americas by managing the end-to-end KYC (Know Your Customer) process.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced financial environment, demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, and excel in cross-cultural communication.
Responsibilities:
Conduct client outreach to request and review KYC information and documentation in a timely and professional manner.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of client data, providing required information to relevant internal departments.
Collaborate with Relationship Managers (RMs) to resolve issues and ensure smooth completion of the KYC process.
Manage and monitor KYC timelines and due dates, sharing progress updates with stakeholders as needed.
Interpret and apply relevant KYC regulations, internal policies, and procedures to assessments.
Utilize bank systems effectively to process and maintain client records.
Support ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Bilingual proficiency in Japanese and English (reading, writing, and speaking).
Strong ability to understand policies and procedures written in both languages.
Excellent business email communication skills and interpersonal abilities.
Prior client service or KYC/AML-related experience preferred.
Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities without direct supervision.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel strongly preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field desirable.
Compensation & Benefits:
Base salary: $65,000 – $80,000 (depending on experience, skills, and qualifications).
Eligible for discretionary annual bonus.
