Overview:
A unique Japanese chemical manufacturer is seeking a Logistics Specialist for electronic and innovative products such as advanced specialty materials, electronic products, adhesives, and solutions.
Primary Duties:
Managing Logistics, Administration, and General Affairs activities in the United States of America.
Responsibilities:
• Complete accurate purchase orders to the HQ office according to customers’ orders.
• Negotiate with the HQ office to obtain the best shipping schedules for customers.
• Contact customers to confirm delivery date and address.
• Respond to delivery-related inquiries and customer concerns.
• Forward the shipping documents to custom brokers and customers.
• Coordinate with the forwarding agent and provide accurate, up-to-date information to customers.
• Notify customers about any delivery delays in advance.
• Enter the daily PO transactions into our system.
• Prepare proper invoices for billing to our customers.
• Monitor consignment inventory carefully.
• Issue Purchase Orders, send Invoices and Purchase Orders, and inform delivery status promptly.
• Upgrade Logistics Systems by developing an SAP or SAGE process manual detailing filing and shipment tracking methodologies and a logistics presentation for salespeople.
• Prepare and submit Sales records on the 8th business day of each month.
• Gain logistics knowledge by attending a seminar.
• Ensure all customer support is done correctly and on a timely basis.
• Accuracy and quality satisfaction.
• Manage to determine office-related purchasing items and research vendors.
• Presenting recommendations, showing the correct purchase.
Requirements:
• Logistics knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Computer literacy and the ability to use various specialist applications.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail/Self-learning skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills are critical – must adhere to deadlines, multi-task, and be able to prioritize.
• Japanese fluency is a big plus.
