A leading travel service provider seeks a detail-oriented, bilingual (Japanese/English) Hotel Reservation Coordinator.
This position plays a key role in managing hotel bookings, inventory, and vendor relations, all while ensuring exceptional service quality for clients.
The ideal candidate is a team player with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities and at least one year of experience in the travel or hospitality industry.
This hybrid position is based in Torrance, California, and requires on-site attendance at least once a week.
Job Description:
Hotel Reservations & Vendor Coordination
Manage hotel reservations, booking conditions, and payment processes.
Monitor hotel inventory for designated systems (e.g., FZK and Togo).
Communicate with hotels and internal departments to resolve reservation issues and customer concerns.
Negotiate terms and maintain strong relationships with hotel suppliers and business partners.
Propose new hotel products, enhancements, and process improvements.
Provide operational support and administration.
Maintain and update hotel contract information.
Seek efficient, cost-effective improvements in daily operations.
Support special projects and perform ad hoc administrative duties as assigned.
Report issues and irregularities promptly to supervisors.
Ensure compliance with company policies and maintain high ethical standards.
Requirements:
1 or more years of experience in the travel or hospitality industry, or an equivalent skill set.
Bilingual in Japanese and English required.
Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and organizational skills.
Proficient in managing hotel bookings and resolving customer service issues.
Ability to work in a hybrid setting with at least one on-site day per week at the Torrance, CA office is required.
